Any operation involving switching between your mouse/pen and your keyboard will benefit by using text input. Changing font sizes, inputting numbers into spreadsheets, and more! Here are a few examples where inputting text with a pen becomes useful: |

To prevent strangers around you from spying, the soft keyboard can be customized so that neither your cursor nor the soft keys light up. A simple but extremely effective way of maintaining your security on a tablet PC. However, pen tablet users may find it difficult to enter their password since the cursor will not be shown. If your pen has an eraser, you’ll be able to erase text simply by highlighting it. Or, edit the text by highlighting it and opening the tablet PC input panel. You no longer need to switch back and forth between your keyboard and mouse. Used in combination with Office 2007’s convenient new Ink annotating capabilities, you’ll finish work faster and have more time to play with all the other cool new Vista features. |
