Wacom and Digital Art

Pencils, pens, markers, oils, acryllics, crayons, chalks, pastels, air brushes... the list of art tools for the traditional artist goes on and on. The digital artist however has all of these in one Wacom pen combined with powerful painting applications such as Corel Painter, Artrage, Sketchbook, Photoshop and others. Today's pressure and tilt sensitive Intuos3 and Cintiq pens replicate the delicate touch of traditional art tools to a level that would astound even the most dedicated non-digital artist.

Plus, working digitally allows you to easily create and undo, redo, save, duplicate, and share your work by email. Automatic effects in various applications will give you new tools to create beautiful works of art. Whether you are looking to create woodcut prints, oil paintings, fantastic landscapes, or soft watercolors, Wacom's pen tablets will ensure that you have the highest quality art tool for any creative endeavor.

Take a look at some of the beautiful artwork created with Wacom tablets in the Wacom Community galleries. A picture is a thousand words.

A few software highlights:
· Adobe Photoshop supports the pressure and tilt sensitivity of the Intuos3 pens and the finger wheel of the Intuos3 airbrush. This can be assigned to opacity, brush size, scatter and many other options. Create perfectly feathered masks or realistic brush strokes controlled by the pen only.

· Corel Painter™ has various natural looking tools that use the pen's pressure and tilt - even the finger wheel of the Intuos3 airbrush. Use the digital airbrush for realistic sprays or the felt pen for true marker renditions.
