My submission for wacom's 2006 greeting card competition is entitled "A bear-y beautiful Holiday". Bears wearing different cultural attires from different countries get together for a holiday gathering w/c is Christmas. the main bear w/c is seen throughout the interpretation of the card wears a traditional Filipino "barong" and a headgear called "salakot". I wanted to signify cultural unity during this time of the season because Christmas is a well celebrated holiday that transcends all differences, whether it be cultural or religious. |
